Affordability for Families

Senator Hauschild passed legislation to make life more affordable for families by passing the most generous child tax credit in the nation, free school meals, targeted property tax relief for Northern Minnesota homeowners, and a paid family leave program.

Economic Growth

Senator Hauschild has championed the Mining, Forestry, and Tourism industries that make the Northland strong. He advanced bipartisan permitting reform and a helium framework so that Northern Minnesota continues to foster economic growth.

Affordable Healthcare

Reducing healthcare costs by holding insurance and drug companies accountable for skyrocketing prices will ensure no Northland families have to resort to fundraising to get the care that they need.

Strong & Safe Communities

Senator Hauschild advanced funding to every community in Northern Minnesota to help fund local police departments. He led the effort to finally address the rural EMS crisis in our region by passing bipartisan EMS funding legislation, and has expanded reimbursement rates and school funding for mental health services.

Social Security Tax Relief

Senator Hauschild championed and passed the largest Social Security Tax Relief package in State history to provide relief for seniors on fixed incomes.

Fighting Fraud

Senator Hauschild championed bipartisan legislation to establish an independent Office of Inspector General with real authority to investigate fraud and misuse of public funds, and he continues to lead efforts to strengthen oversight so taxpayer dollars are protected and abuse is held accountable.
